It was fun and humbling for me at the same time. It really was a pleasure for me to draw and give the Warrior Families souvenir sketches of themselves as well as their hero who was participating in the athletic events. It's events like that that makes sitting at the easel a joy and pleasure to experience.

When I'm at the easel at Special Events, there is ALWAYS a line. They want to take home a souvenir sketch from the event...and what better souvenir than a sketch of themselves???!!! SAVE THE DATE! Clients hire me by the hour, with a two- hour minimum. This is the ingredient you need to add to the recipe of a successful function...HUMOR! As the "chef" that's "cookin' smiles" for hours at your event, I'm happy to say that there really is always a line to get a sketch to take home. PLEASE NOTE: When I am hired for three hours or more, on request, I will have the event imprinted on the paper free of charge. This assures that the event will always be remembered because when the artwork is hanging up, the name of the Special Event is seen by all. SCHOOL ARTIST...TRUE STORY: I recently drew the entire senior class of a local school. My drawings were gifts from the school as a sign of "Contratulations, job well done." The faculty member that inspired this idea contacted me after the school's graduation ceremony. She said to me "You should have been there to see their faces when each grad received their own drawing. Laughter was heard all afternoon. It was GREAT...and so much fun to watch them show off their drawings to the other classmates. They'll treasure the artwork and it no doubt will improve their self-esteem. This might start a school tradition." MY COMMENTS: each drawing was of how each student described their plans for the immediate future. I drew some rushing off to college, some planning to enter the military, others had career jobs waiting for them.
